Perfect is the enemy of done

Why do something if you don’t have the perfect solution? Might as well give up…

That’s what I say to myself as I dream up things. A lot of the time, it means I stop myself from creating something new before I’ve even started typing.

That’s not great.

I think it’s ok not to have the best solution. Very few people do.

But the worst case is if you take so long to decide on a solution that you postpone a project. Or don’t even do it. Or are last to market, etc.

Go, choose a solution, and make things. If you’re wrong, most of the time that’s ok. Try to fix it and move forward.

Better to have something working than nothing at all.
